At Holliday + Holliday we offer dry eye therapy using intense pulsed light therapy and radiofrequency; which are groundbreaking treatments for dry eye. This is an in-office treatment, so you can get all the care for your eyes, right here in our vision care clinic.
Our intense pulsed light therapy (IPL) uses specific wavelengths of light to
reduce inflammation around the eyes
help your meibomian glands produce oil to lubricate your eyes
support your eyes healthy production of tears
dislodge oil build up in and around your eyes
Our radiofrequency treatments (RF) uses specific wavelengths of light to
heats up your melbomian glands to produce oil to lubricate your eyes
stimulates collagen production filling in fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
stimulates blood circulation enhancing tear production

How does Intense Pulsed Light therapy work?
Did you know that your Meibomian Gland could be clogged and unable to produce healthy tear film. You need this oil to hydrate your eyes. Let us assess the health of your eyes today and see if you are a candidate for our Dry Eye Therapy program.
How does our Dry Eye Therapy - Intense Pulsed Light Therapy work? In the comfort of our dry eye therapy room, we place shields over your eyes to protect them from the light pulses. A thin layer of cooling gel is applied to the treatment area and a small light therapy device creates heat that helps release oils to keep your eyes healthy and well hydrated.
The heat from the light therapy device warms the hardened oils and helps your meibomian gland to function and lubricate your eyes and helps your eyes product healthy tears. Healthy tears makes happy eyes.
What happens in a dry eye treatment session?
Dr. Tricia + Dr. Heath Holliday can meet you for a consultation and assess if you are a good candidate for this new dry eye therapy treatment.
If you are a candidate you will be scheduled for a dry eye treatment with our dry eye technicians Maddy (RN) + Janelle (RN).
Typically a dry eye treatment regimen requires a minimum of 4 sessions, over the course of 4 months. The treatment is customized to each patient and can include a combination of both IPL and RF treatments. Over this time, we will help your eyes release oils naturally and bring your eyes back to their healthy moisturizing function.
